The family of Dr. Scott Lee, a member of the Rossford High School Class of 1985, has made an incredibly generous contribution to the backpack program at Rossford Schools. In his honor, Dr. Lee's family is donating $5,000 annually for five years to ensure that students in need have access to essential food resources.

The Care Closet at RHS provides food and hygiene items for students in need, ensuring they have what they need by sending them home with a backpack filled with these essentials. Our social worker ensures these backpacks reach the students who depend on them. This generous donation will help keep the closet well-stocked.

“We are deeply grateful to Dr. Lee’s family for continuing to honor his legacy of caring for others with this donation,” said Rossford Schools Superintendent Dan Creps. “This contribution will provide vital support to the students who need it the most.”

Dr. Lee’s wife, Dr. M Jean Kay Lee, and daughters, Michelle Lee and Grace Lee, made this donation in memory of Dr. Lee, who passed away from cancer in 2022. After graduating from Rossford, Dr. Lee attended Ohio State University, became a civil engineer, and later earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He dedicated his career as a family practice physician to serving the underserved in Toledo.“He was able to bring comfort, provide clarity, and give a sense of security to those who trusted him with their care,” his daughter Michelle Lee shared. “He found great gratification in that.”

Now, through this donation, Dr. Lee’s legacy continues, bringing comfort, security, and care to others.
