We hope everyone had a wonderful Winter Break. Rossford Schools is thrilled
to open up its new Rossford Junior-Senior High School on Tuesday, Jan. 7 which
will offer a 21st Century educational environment for our kids and community. With the successful launch of Rossford Elementary School, we now offer new programming and top of the line facilities for all of our students.
As we had with Rossford Elementary School, there will be minor work remaining in the facility at Rossford Junior-Senior High School. Stairwells in the 1922 portion of the facility need some finishing touches. As previously stated our main gym and administrative office areas are still being completed. The junior-senior high offices, classes, cafeteria, auxiliary gym and the rest of the school are ready for our students.
Landscaping around campus will be put in this spring to ensure its success
in more appropriate weather.
We appreciate your patience as the building is completed and our students
and staff become accustom to the new school and routines. There will likely be
initial delays during pick up and drop off, as well as bus routes as everyone
is settling in. Thank you for your understanding through the learning curves.
School Resource Officer Jodi Johnson will remain with our high school
students in the downtown campus. District officials are also excited to
introduce School Resource Officer Wesley Socie Elementary School when we return
from break.
A reminder for our junior-senior high families, the new school will be open
to families from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6 to walk through and students
find their way around the facility. The first regular school day back for
both of our schools is Tuesday, Jan. 7.
