I have been honored to serve as the Principal in Rossford Schools since 2008. I am incredibly proud of our school community and the amazing work we accomplish together. Working closely with students, teachers, and families to foster a positive learning environment has been a truly rewarding experience.
Before joining Rossford, I gained six years of administrative experience with Toledo Public Schools. Prior to that, I spent eight years teaching sixth grade at Pickett Elementary School. I grew up in Oregon, Ohio, and attended Clay High School. My journey working with children began in high school when I worked for the local recreation department, helping coach tee ball and soccer during the summer and working at various camps. I also served as a cabin leader in high school and always enjoyed working with kids. From a young age, I knew teaching was my calling.
After high school, I served in the United States Marine Corps for six years in an infantry unit. I attended the University of Toledo, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1993. I went on to complete my Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision in 2003. Soon after, I completed the coursework to obtain my Superintendent’s license from the University of Findlay.
I am blessed with a very supportive and involved family. My wife, Michelle, and our children, Jackson, Kennedy, and Madison, love attending school events and volunteering their time. They especially enjoy the annual Halloween parade and seeing the streets lined with kids. I am an avid sports fan and have coached many of my children’s teams. I still enjoy shooting baskets and staying active. Beyond my family, my other passion is fishing. I love fishing for bass, pike, musky, walleye, and perch. I look forward to my annual fishing trips to Canada and cherish my time spent outdoors. If you have any good fish stories, I’d love to hear them.
This is going to be another fantastic year, and I look forward to meeting all of the students! Oh, and by the way, GO BLUE!
